How my journey began…
My love affair with the fashion and beauty world has been a constant my entire life.
My mother worked in the cosmetics industry for many years and I remember watching her apply her makeup in the mornings, taking mental notes. My reading material of choice as a child was Colour Me Beautiful (it was the 80's and Colour Analysis was all the rage) I carried that book everywhere.When I wasn't designing dresses for my barbies, I was calling friends to help them plan their first day of school outfits. They needed the right outfit to reflect how they wanted to show up that year of course.
As I grew up, I spent many years working in the beauty industry myself as a makeup artist.
At school I studied Fashion Arts at Humber College and went on to work in Fashion Marketing.
Many years later, I launched my own online retail store called Inner Muse, where I sold many incredible local Canadian Designer accessory brands.
I always had a love for accessories and adding the unique finishing touches to an outfit! The business was a dream come true, but over time I realized that I longed for more connection with my customers, a more personal touch.
I decided to pursue personal styling and started taking some courses again to brush up on my skills.
I went on to take courses through George Brown and then topped it off with a certificate in Colour Analysis through the Image Institute for a full circle moment.
